The ancestral culture is the legacy of the original peoples; the tangible and intangible heritage of their traditions, customs, artistic manifestations, knowledge, etc. as the genuine characteristics of these social groups.
Itinerary
Day 1: At 08:30 am you will be picked up from your hotel, either in Tena or in Misahualli Port. A second meeting point will be the central park of Puerto Misahuallí. From here, we will start the Journey in a private vehicle, for 15 minutes, until we reach the entrance of the scientific station Jatun Sacha, where we will cross the jungle by natural trekking. This crossing on foot will take between 5 and 6 hours, along 24 km. We will have several technical stops to learn about the "Green ecology" of the tropical rainforest.
We will learn about vascular, epiphytes, monoecious and dioecious plants. We will learn about ornithology, entomology and Herpetofauna. We will visit a beautiful viewpoint, where we will see the Arahuano river, and appreciate the jungle in all its splendour.
We will arrive at the community around 3 pm, where we will stay in rustic cabins for 1 night.
There will be free time to swim in the river. We will end the day with a delicious dinner.
Day 2: We will start the day at 05:00 am, with an integration around a bonfire, to prepare the Guayusa tea, by a woman of the community, where shed will tell us the benefits of the drink, its stories and legends, as Well as the cleaning of the Shamán. At 06:00 am we will start canoeing on the Arahuano River. We will observe bird species, until we arrive at the saladero or collpa; a special place for clay food for parrots and parakeets. Here we will be able to observe two species of parakeet and one parrot: the Dusky-headed parakeet, the Cobalt-winged parakeet, and the blue-headed parrot.
After breakfast, we will visit a large Pentandra ceiba tree, the children's school, and the communal meeting house. We will make a Concentration in the maloca house, where we will learn about the cultural identity of the folklore of the Amazon, the elaboration of the chicha de yuca, and the handmade cocoa chocolate, we will see how the extraction of pita fibre is used to make handicrafts, and a typical dance. Finally, we will be served an exquisite lunch of typical Amazonian gastronomy.
Afterwards, we will paddle a canoe down the Arahuano River for approximately 2 hours. During the navigation it will be possible to observe bird species that inhabit the banks of this river.
Once we arrive at the bridge, we will continue by private vehicle to Misahuallí Port, where the 1 night and 2 day tour will end around 3 to 4 pm.

Description of the community lodge
The bungalows of the lodge are built by the members of the community, with rustic materials collected from the jungle, in an environmentally conscious and respectful way. Shared rooms are available, with beds with mattresses and mosquito nets. There is no electricity, no mobile phone coverage and no roads.
The river is the means of transport for paddling or motorized canoeing. There are jungle trails for walking and road trips. Eco-tourism generates work and income opportunities for the native families of the jungle, as they receive no support from the state or local authorities. At the same time, they keep their customs and ancestral roots intact with their beliefs.

In the afternoon, after a break, we will go tubing down the river, and practice with the blowgun, a silent hunting weapon.

Day 3: We will start this day with a good breakfast. Then we will paddle a canoe for about two hours to the bridge. We will continue by motor canoe to the wild animal rescue centre "Amazónico", where we will be able to see species of the Amazonian fauna, such as: Green anaconda-Eunectes murinus, land turtles, species of monkeys, parrots, macaws, toucans, peccaries, cusumbo, kinkajou potos Flavus, tapir, and the fresh water turtles lagoon.
We will make a second visit to the caiman-white spectacle crocodile lagoon and observe the prehistoric bird the hoatzin-Opisthocomus hoatzin. After lunch, we will continue by private vehicle to Misahuallí, where the 2-night, 3-day tour will end around 2 to 3 pm.
