The Napo River is a tributary to the Amazon River that rises in Ecuador on the flanks of the east Andean volcanoes of Antisana, Sincholagua and Cotopaxi.

Tour 2d / 1n: (option #1)

Lodging at Misahualli Eco-Camping Lodge / act for all ages & families

Itinerary and programme from Prt. Misahualli

Day 1: The meeting point and start of the tour is from the central park of Prt. Misahualli at 08H and 30 am. Then visit to Paikawe reserve where we will paddle canoe in the lagoon to observe bird species such as owls, hoatzins, Oropéndola, caciques, arapaima gigas fish, monkeys in freedom, sloth bear, short walk of 2h in the jungle where we will know species of plants, insects.

We travel by motor canoe downstream for 47 km, we arrive at the reserve of wild animals "Amazónico" where we will make a 1h tour to meet, green anaconda, tapir, peccary pigs, monkeys, parrots and macaws, toucans, ocelot, and more species.

Integration in community to appreciate typical dances, elaboration of pure cocoa chocolate, caiman lagoon, visit to the nest of the Chestnut-fronted Macaw and White-throated Toucan ...We continue by canoe to Misahualli eco-lodge where we will spend the night. End the day with dinner.

Day 2: At 06h00 am we will go on a walking tour to observe bird species, and ethno botanical garden. After breakfast, visit to a family to appreciate the elaboration of pottery, demonstration of chicha de yucca, handicrafts... Walk in the jungle for 1h to a beautiful waterfall, swim in a natural pool in the middle of the jungle. End of the 2 days and 1-night tour in Prt. Misahualli around 2 to 3 pm.

Mixed tour 3d / 2n, family rafting: (Option # 2)

Rafting, jungle, canoeing, accommodation 1 night in eco-camping lodge / 1 night in a community

Itinerary and program from Prt. Misahualli

Day 1: The meeting point and start of the tour is from the central park of Prt. Misahualli at 08H and 30 am. Then visit to Paikawe reserve where we will paddle canoe in the lagoon to meet the fish (arapaima gigas) (observation of bird species) (owls) (monkeys, sloth bear). 2h walk in the jungle together with mixed explanations of fauna and flora.

We continue the trip by motor canoe for 45 minutes to the Umbuni sector, walk for about 1 hour until we reach a beautiful waterfall where it is possible to take a refreshing swim in a natural pool in the middle of the jungle.

Afterwards we will do the family rafting activity on the Napo River for 1 hour, suitable for all ages and families with or without experience. After the rafting we continue by motor canoe to the Eco-Lodge where we will spend 1 night. The day ends with dinner.

Day 2: At 06h00 am we will hike 2 hours to the surroundings of the eco-lodge for bird watching, ethno botanical garden with explanations of medicinal plants, visit to 3 beautiful viewpoints with panoramic views of the Napo river in its splendor.

After breakfast we travel 39 km by motor canoe down the river to the rescue centre for wild animals (the "Amazonico") where we will have a 1-hour tour to see green anacondas, tapirs, peccaries, monkeys, parrots and macaws, toucans, ocelots, ocelots, and more species.

Visit to an organic cocoa farm where you will learn how to make pure cocoa chocolate and then taste it with a delicious fruit salad, pottery making, extraction of pita fibre to make handicrafts, practice with the blowgun, silent weapon of hunting, observation of caimans in the lagoon, visit to the nest of the Chestnut-fronted Macaw and the White-throated Toucan.

We continue by canoe to a Kichwa community where we will stay for a second night in cabins. After dinner, cultural integration to appreciate typical dances, shaman's cleaning demonstration, stories and legends.

Day 3: At 05H30 am the tour starts with the drinking of Guayusa tea, stories and legends around a campfire. At 06H00 am we travel by canoe to a salt lick / clay lick, a special place for the feeding of (Blue-headed Parrot) (Dusky-headed Parakeet), to this place they come in search of minerals for their rehydration, this encounter with these species of Psitaciformes is only possible when the weather is good and sunny, and if it rains or the weather is bad it is not safe to observe these birds…

After breakfast, visit to a large Pentandra Ceiba tree, children's school, communal meeting house, tubing activity on the river.

Typical lunch in the community of the Amazonian gastronomy. 2h paddle canoeing to the bridge. Transfer by private vehicle to Misahualli where the 3 days and 2 nights’ tour ends around 4 to 5 pm.

Tour 4d / 3n: (Option # 3)

Rafting in class III river, kayaking, navigation in motor canoe and paddle canoe, tubing, jungle trekking, lodging in Eco-Lodge / Community Lodging

Itinerary and programme from Misahualli Prt.

Day 1: The meeting point and start of the tour is from the central park of Prt. Misahualli at 08H00 and 30 am. We then travel by private vehicle to the Llanganates National Park where we will descend in the rafting boats, at midday we will make a technical stop for a delicious self-service lunch. We continue in the boats down river to the bridge where the 25 km rafting ends.

We continue by motor canoe down the Napo river for 27 km more until we arrive at the Eco-Lodge where we will spend 2 nights. The day ends with dinner.

Day 2: After breakfast we descend in kayaks down the river for 38 km to Anaconda Island where we will visit an alligator lagoon, an organic cocoa farm where we will learn how to make chocolate.

Visit to the animal rescue centre "Amazónico", then we will go to a family to appreciate the elaboration of pottery and handicrafts. Return by motor canoe for 39 km to the lodge where the day ends with dinner.

Day 3: At 06Hoo am we will make a 2h trip to an ethno botanical garden to learn about medicinal plant species, after breakfast we will go by private vehicle to the Paikawe reserve where we will paddle a canoe in the lagoon to see the fish (arapaima gigas) (observation of bird species) (owls) (monkeys and sloth bear). Afterwards, visit to the Shiripuno community where we will appreciate typical Amazonian folklore dances and ancestral customs.

Transfer in private vehicle to the biological reserve Jatun sacha (r.b.j.s). From here we will walk for 3 hours, during the walk we will make technical stops to explain about the Herpetofauna, botany, ornithology. After this crossing on foot through the primary forest jungle we arrive to a community where we stay for 1 more nights, before the end of the afternoon there is free time to swim in the river...After dinner, cultural integration to appreciate typical dance, demonstration of shaman cleaning, stories and legends.
