A ‘2-day, 1-night excursion’ is a short trip that allows you to discover and explore a particular destination with many landscapes along the Napo River. The duration allows for a deeper immersion and enjoyment of activities such as hiking, mixed wildlife viewing, and navigation along the Napo River:
The meeting point and start of the tour is at the central park of Puerto Misahualli at 9:00 a.m. Next, cross by canoe to the other side of the Napo River, walk for 15 minutes to the Paikawe Reserve, where we will take a rowboat to navigate the surroundings of this lagoon and observe bird species such as If we are very lucky, we may also see owls and sloths.
After this visit, we will take a private motorized canoe and sail down the Napo River for 45 minutes to the Umbuni sector. From here, we will hike through the jungle for over an hour until we reach a beautiful waterfall where you can take a refreshing dip in a natural pool in the middle of the jungle... We will return to the Napo River, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch on the riverbank surrounded by natural splendour.
In the afternoon, we will go rafting, descending the river for an hour to Misahualli. This sport is suitable for families or anyone with or without experience... If anyone does not wish to participate in the rafting activity, they can accompany us in the motorboat, where they can take lots of photos of the rafting participants... Next, we will visit a Kichwa community to appreciate traditional dances and ancestral customs... After visiting the community, we will go to an ethnocultural museum of ancestral traps from the Amazon.
We continue by canoe along the Napo River to the Arajuno River, where we will set up camp on the riverbank to spend the night outdoors in the heart of nature. Before The day ends, there will be free time to swim in the river. After a delicious dinner, we will take a night walk to a lagoon to observe caimans and insect species.
If you are interested in bird watching, it is possible to wake up before 6:00 a.m. to take a walk around the lake and enjoy their songs... After breakfast, we will head to the ‘Amazónico’ wildlife rescue centre, where we will be able to see species of fauna such as: Green Anaconda -Eunectes murinus, tortoises, monkey species, parrots, macaws, toucans, peccaries, kinkajou Photos Flavus, tapirs, freshwater turtle lagoon. If you are very lucky, you may see an ocelot, Jaguarundi or wild cat.
Visit to an organic cocoa farm, where we will learn how to make delicious artisanal cocoa chocolate to accompany a delicious fresh fruit salad... After lunch, it is possible to swim in the river, depending on the time of year. Visit a family to appreciate the production of pottery and handicrafts, then return by canoe upriver to Puerto Misahualli, where the 2-day, 1-night tour ends around 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
